Our story began in the year 1995 with 7 families assembled in a house in Victoria drive near 54th avenue. For almost 2 years we organized our prayer meetings at different houses. Today, we are a Pentecostal Christian church with Malayalam language service. Malayalam is a language spoken in south India, in the state of Kerala. Kerala has a Christian population of approximately 20 million people.

Pastor V.T. Thomas known by his friends as Pastor Joy, is the senior pastor at Bethel Gospel Mission, he lives a life dedicated to strengthening members in his congregation and in missions work, and bring them to Christ despite the struggles of every day life

John and his wife live in Vancouver and have been faithfully attending the Bethel Gospel Mission and serve as elder members of the community, where they are valued members

Joy's father was a pastor in India, he and his loving late wife Grace has gone to church their whole life and brought their children up in church. Joy now faithfully attends and is a valued member of this Bethel Gospel Mission
